Our optical technicians are happy and willing to help you with everything from making your appointments to learing how to take care of your contact lenses.   Christina and Leslie can help you get started by taking all your medical insurance and any vision plan information to help maximize your benefits. In addition to staffing the front desk, our optical technicians begin your eye exam with the latest computerized technologiy.
Dr Daniel Mirkin has been practicing Optometry at Mirkin Vision Care since 1986. He as been associated with the University Optometric Center of NY, has been on staff at the Joseph P. Addabbo Health Center and is currently on staff at Peninsula Hospital Center. In addition to providing a thorough vision and eye health examination, Dr Mirkin fits specialty contact lenses, treates eye infections, glaucoma and dry eye. Dr Mirkin was one of the first Doctors of Optometry licensed to treat eye disease and Glaucoma in New York State.    Dr Mirkin's philosophy for patient care is to "give you great vision now and protect your vision for the future."

Dave Bonilla, a New York State licensed optician likes to advise patients on the best way to fill their eyeglass prescription. He recommends different options based on the patients prescription, their activies and their facial structures.  "Some frame and lens choices are great for one person but absolutely wrong for the next person. I offer patients an informed choice based on their individual needs." Mr. Bonilla is fluent in Spanish and was raised in the Rockaways. He has strong ties with the community.
