Every pair of lenses is custom measured. Our optometrist and licensed opticians oversee the fit and inspect your finished glasses for accuracy. If something needs attention, we explain the issue and work with you to resolve it.
Our 30-day commitment
We offer a 30-day exchange policy for glasses and contact lenses. If your prescription does not feel right, Dr. Mirkin can review it within 30 days. Contact us to discuss your order and how the policy applies.

Daniel Mirkin
Dr. Daniel Mirkin has been the full time doctor caring for patients at Mirkin Vision since 1986, after his father Dr. Allan Mirkin’s retirement. He values getting to know his patients and understanding how their vision affects everyday life. Whether you’re coming in with a concern or simply keeping up with your eye health, he takes time to listen, answer your questions, and explain your options.
Dr. Mirkin combines decades of experience with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to provide thorough eye exams, medical eye care, and everyday and specialty contact lens fittings. His approach is thoughtful and personal, helping you understand your eye health and feel comfortable with the care he recommends.

Experience and patient care
A Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, Dr. Mirkin was among the first optometrists in the United States to receive the board’s certification. His background includes work as an associate at the University Optometric Center of New York and an affiliation with TLC Laser in Garden City.
He fits specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, myopia control lenses, and corneal reshaping options. He is licensed to use therapeutic medications to care for eye conditions, including infections, glaucoma, allergies, and eye injuries.

His professional memberships include the American Optometric Association, New York State Optometric Association, and Nassau County Optometric Society.
A past president of the Rockaway Rotary, Dr. Mirkin’s connection to the neighborhood extends to charitable work, local events, and eye-health education.

Do I need an appointment?
Please schedule ahead so our optometrist and optical team can set aside time for your eye exam, contact lens fitting, or eyewear consultation.
What should I bring?
Bring your medical insurance and vision plan information, along with your current prescription glasses or contact lenses. Call or text us before your visit if you have questions about your benefits or what to bring.
