Dr. Daniel Mirkin has been at Mirkin Vision since 1986, after the retirement of Dr. Alan Mirkin. His work includes comprehensive exams, medical eye care, and specialty contact lens fittings.
Get to know Dr. MirkinA Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, Dr. Mirkin was among the first optometrists in the United States to receive the board’s certification. His background includes work as an associate at the University Optometric Center of New York and an affiliation with TLC Laser in Garden City.
He fits specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses, myopia control lenses, and corneal reshaping options. He is licensed to use therapeutic medications to care for eye conditions, including infections, glaucoma, allergies, and eye injuries.
His professional memberships include the American Optometric Association, New York State Optometric Association, and Nassau County Optometric Society.
A past president of the Rockaway Rotary, Dr. Mirkin’s connection to the neighborhood extends to charitable work, local events, and eye-health education.
